Community Schools & New York Edge

The mission of New York Edge is to help bridge the opportunity gap among underserved students by providing programs designed to improve academic performance, health and wellness, self-confidence, character and attitudes for success in life. Here at MS53 the Community School team supports the school through attendance support, working with students that are at risk or are currently chronically absent. We are here to support overall school attendance. We also provide professional development opportunities, workshops, and classes for families of our scholars. We work closely with the MS53 Administration to increase overall family engagement, as well as After school programming, subject-based tutoring, college and student advisement are all things we work to achieve. We are here to assist our community in any way possible.
